Program of works was for the delivery of 12km of new roadway over previously mined underground and surface mine works plus the upgrade of an existing intersection on Dawson Highway (46C) - Banana to Moura.

As the Independent Verifier/Design Manager, LPS were involved with;

  • Finalising the design for the 12km section of roadway which included earthworks, three span concrete bridge, drainage, pavements, and roadworks 

  • Gaining approval off TMR under WSCRR215 and delivering the works to TMR approvals 

  • Gaining Operational Works approvals for various sections of the project 

  • Engaging third parties to undertake the design and delivery of the deep lift compaction using Rapid Impact Compaction technique to approx. 3km of roadway which spanned previously mined underground and open cut mine workings 

  • Resolving design issues on site during construction 

  • Verification and attendance HP/WP inspections 

  • Undertaking the role as RPEQ
